2018 Virginia Craft Beer Month

August is Virginia Craft Beer Month

Virginia is truly for Craft Beer Lovers, travelers and craft breweries nationwide are taking notice. In the last decade, the Virginia craft beer scene has exploded, creating social spots in cities across the state where travelers can soak in some local flavor. This statewide craft beer scene developed some award winning small businesses, but also piqued the interest of nationally recognized larger craft brewers. Stone Brewing and Deschutes Brewing Company have opened East Coast locations in Virginia including top-notch tasting rooms. Whether you want to hire a driver, taste flights and compare flavors at more than one brewery or enjoy a pint after a brisk hike, Virginia can provide the perfect local beer.

Many breweries allow pets on their patio or other designated areas. Vaccinated, friendly, and leashed dogs are welcome outside and in tasting rooms but not where food is prepared. Dogs must kept on a leash or within a pet carrier and under the control of their owner at all times. Please check with the brewery before visiting with your pet.

Want to make a day of it? Live Outside and find a craft beer trail in your area to visit several breweries all within a few miles of each other. Find an event at a brewery or a festival to explore even more of Virginia's Craft Beer.
