Position Purpose/Summary

Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., located in Central and Southwest VA, is a large beverage distribution company seeking a full time qualified, dedicated individual for a bookkeeper/administration position for the Salem Division. The person in this position will be primarily responsible for various accounting functions and limited customer service duties.

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Wage Range: $20.00 to $22.00 hourly

Position Responsibilities

  • Post and balance accounts receivables and payables on a daily basis
  • Maintain orderly financial filing system
  • Post electronic customer accounts receivable payments
  • Assist in collections of customer and supplier receivables
  • Process supplier support billings
  • Post daily sales in the general ledger
  • Assist with inventory costing and “end of month” reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll and coordination of benefits
  • Maintain CDL driver qualification files

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Detail-oriented individual
  • Previous bookkeeping experience required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Excellent computer and communication skills
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or beverage or other direct store distribution accounting a plus
  • Blue Ridge Beverage has a zero-tolerance drug policy. Our pre-employment drug screen includes testing for the presence of THC.
